In Social Studies we will study the time period from 500-1500 AD in many parts of the world. Beginning with the fall of Rome and beginnings of feudalism and then the Renaissance in Europe then onto the growth of Arabia as a trading crossroads and the birth of Islam. We will study the kingdoms of West Africa, the dynasties of China and the rise of Japan. We finish with the pre-columbian societies of Central & South America and how the Age of Enlightenment led to the explorations that changed the world forever.
