Lunch Program Information/August Fresh Lunch Menu-See attached

* Fresh Lunch Program: This program offers fresh nutritious food provided by the Nevada Joint Union High School Nutrition Services and Co-Sponsored by Foothill Fresh. The cost of a school lunch is $3.50 (includes milk), or they may purchase milk separately for $0.50 cents. Reduced lunches are $0.40 cents. Your child can pay for lunches in the office or you can pay for it by using the EFund program located on line in Powerschool. Free and Reduced lunch students from last year have a 30 day carryover of their lunch status until September 26. You have until September 26 to turn in a new lunch application for the current school year. After September 26, students will be returned to full pay. Lunch applications can be found in the school office or the district website. If your child wants to order a school lunch they need to sign up in their homeroom class each day. NOTE: If your child is going to be late to school and they will need a school lunch, please call the office so we can reserve a lunch for your child. We do not offer extra lunches.

It's Duck Race Time!

Dear Parents & Friends of Seven Hills School, do you want a chance to win $5,000? $1000? $500? Then, buy a Duck Race ticket! Seven Hills PSTC will again be raising funds by selling tickets for the 49er Breakfast Rotary Club annual Duck Race. Seven Hills School will receive $3.00 for each $5.00 ticket sold by our students, which will go directly to the classrooms for teacher materials and supply allowances. The race will be held Sunday, September 15th. See attached information & permission slip.

School picture day is on Wednesday, August 28 by Lifetouch Photography.

Pictures will be part of the yearbook, therefore we ask that your child come dressed in appropriate clothing. Students need to have their picture form and money ready and in hand. Fifth and sixth grade students will have their pictures taken during their homeroom class at different times during the day. Seventh and eighth grade students will have their pictures taken during their P.E. class. Forms will be going home with your child soon. Picture retake day is October 3.

Back to School Night is on Thursday, August 29. (Detailed schedule is attached)

5th & 6th grade parents/guardians can visit classrooms from 5:00-6:15pm. 7th & 8th grade parents/guardians can visit classrooms from 6:30-7:40pm. Principal Sam Schug will speak to parents/guardians in the gym on several important issues that affect your child's school experience. This is an important time for you to meet the teachers and become familiar with the instructor's curriculum and expectations.

Access Student Score Reports from the State Testing System CAASPP-Click on attachment for instructions

Dear Parents/Guardians, new this year you will be able to access Student Score Reports from the State Testing System CAASPP. This summer you will be able to access this year's test scores. Scores from 2017 and 2018 are currently available in the PowerSchool Portal. State testing begins for students in the 3rd grade.

The Nevada City School District provides online access to your child's records through PowerSchool Portal ( In addition to student score reports you may also view grades, attendance, lunch balances and online payments. On August 9, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. you will be able to see your child's schedule for the 2019-2020 school year.
