Food Resources:
The Food Bank of Nevada County is giving out FREE lunches to kids ages 2-18 this summer from June 10th - August 2nd Monday thru Friday throughout the community. No paperwork or sign-up needed, just show up!
Apartment Complexes (no residency required)
12:15pm - 12:30pm: Brunswick Commons, Grass Valley Terrace, Oak Ridge, Berryhill, Crown Point
12:45pm - 1pm: Nevada Woods, Valley Commons, Cashin’s Field, Courtyard at Penn Valley
Skate Parks: 1:30pm - 1:45pm: Condon Skating Area and Memorial Playground
All children age 18 and younger can get free lunch weekdays June 19th - August 11th from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Grass Valley Library (207 Mill St., GV), Madelyn Helling Library (980 Helling Way, Nevada City), and June 20th - July 12th Lyman Gilmore Middle School (10837 Rough and Ready Hwy, GV).
Smoking/Vaping Cessation:
“This is Quitting” is a free and anonymous text message program to help young people quit vaping by testing DITCHVAPE to 88709
