STEAM at Seven Hills
STEAM is a group of elective courses focused primarily on programming, electronics, and computation in the engineering and design process. New electives are offered each trimester allowing students a different experience each trimester. Previous electives have included 3D printing, game design with object oriented programing, electronics, plotting machines, and robotics. Students have access to small computers (Raspberry Pi’s and Arduino Uno’s) to create fun and useful electronics and robotics projects. Students also have access to 3D printing technology and a CNC machine to make projects come to life. Each trimester the technology lab will have a different focus allowing students to retake the course and continue to create new projects. Along the way students will learn coding, physical computing, mechanics, and basic electronics.
